What Do They Have in Common?

Recommended Posts

Alright, let's put this question to rest. Here are the answers:

Anthony Quinn won an Oscar for playing Paul Gauguin in "Lust For Life"

Alfred Molina played the Mexican artist Diego Rivera in "Frida"

Val Kilmer played Willem DeKooning in "****" starring Ed Harris

Christopher Lee played Georges Seurat in the Toulouse-Lautrec biography "Moulin Rouge"

You can have the thread, Fi.

any guesses ?? If no guesses by tomorrow, I'll give another clue then.

Doris Day

Kathryn Grayson

Deborah Kerr

Jane Wyman

In what way are these actresses connected?

One hint: what the others have done once, Deborah Kerr has done twice.

I agree, Lana, this was a great question. I don't know why it didn't occur to me, since I love all these movies. I'm glad someone was able to come up with the answer. When I suggested Frank Sinatra movies, I really didn't think that was the answer, since Jane Wyman didn't fit it. OK. Here's one. I purposely have included several names, since this might be a hard one. What do the following have in common:

James Garner

Eve Arden

Steve McQueen

Gene Kelly

Martha Hyer

Terry Moore

Jeanne Crain

Good luck!

This is all I can come up with--

They starred in or did the first season or pilots for popular TV series--but they weren't included in the long runs:

Carl Reiner--"The Dick Van Dyke Show" 1st aka--"Head of the Family"--played Rob Petrie

Jackie Gleason--"Life of Riley"--played Riley

Max Showalter (CA)--pilot for "Leave It To Beaver"--played Ward Cleaver
