What Do They Have in Common?

Recommended Posts

That's close...But as they say on "Jeopardy!": More specific information, please.

My initial response was going to be "an" ocean, but I now see that won't work either 8)

How about.. The Pacific Ocean ?

That's also close...for at least one of the movies involved. Let me ask this: How did you come up with your answer?

So much time has elapsed, that I think it's fair to assume that there was no more interest in it.

Let's see if we can resurrect this game.  What do these actresses have in common?

Kathryn Grayson

Esther Williams

Doris Day

Betty Hutton

Yes, it was easy,  especially since we just had Howard Keel day this week .  This next one shouldn't be too difficult either.  What do these films have in common?

The Clock

Storm Warning

Man On Fire

They all featured musical stars in dramatic roles:

Doris Day and Ginger Rogers in Storm Warning

Bing Crosby in Man on Fire

Gene Kelly in Inherit the Wind

I've got to make these a little tougher.  You got it, Starliteyes.  It seems that musical stars are always looking to show that they can do drama as well.  You're up.

I guess we kind'a lost track of this thread for a while, but that's correct, Edythe.  The song "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" is heard in the soundtrack of each of those movies.  Here is one example.  Ya know, this seems to happen in just about any neighborhood bar.

Good job, Edythe.  It's your turn now.

While it's true that each has portrayed a woman of the Old Testament, that's not the answer I'm looking for. Add to the list:

Janet Leigh

Eleanor Parker

Hope this helps.

I have the feeling that we are getting bored with this particular game. One last clue:

They all have played the wife of the same actor.

Never bored...on the boards Terrence!

Any chance they were married to Charlton Heston? Ava is hard to pin to any

married name.  ??

Good one, Edythe. Yes, they all were married to Charlton Heston on the screen. He and Ava were married in "Earthquake". (Now that I think of it, she may have been his ex-wife. If so, I apologize.)
