What Do They Have in Common?

Recommended Posts

Is it that they've each played Elizabeth Taylor's mother in a film?  If this is correct, Arsan can have the thread.  He was the one who figured out that Elizabeth Taylor was the connection.

Thank you Azure, and thank you shutoo.

I will gladly yield the thread to Azure, since her response was more accurate.

Azure, it's all yours.

Yes, they've all played identical twins on film.  Well done, Lavender.  Your turn.

(By the way, it's nice to have you back on the boards.)

A perfect answer, Starlit.  I'm impressed.  I actually thought this might be too difficult a question.

It's all yours.

I'm surprised myself.  I'm usually not too good at this, but for some reason this particular answer just came to me.

Okay, what do these actors have in common:

Robert Young

Don Ameche

Robert Cummings

Larry Parks

It's something that happens in each of the films they were in. ( that's 4 different films, one for each of them)

 1 of Bette's films

 1 of Lana's films

 1 of Jeanette's films

 1 of Ava's films

edited by me :)

They were all in films that had an earthquake or some other natural disaster, such as the monsoon in The Rains Came with Myrna Loy.  There were earthquakes in San Francisco (Jeanette MacDonald), The Sisters (Bette Davis), and Green Dolphin Street (Lana Turner).  I don't know Ava Gardner's films well enough to name one with a disaster off the top of my head unless it might be On the Beach.
