Perhaps if they set aside a month again dealing with native American prejudice this movie can be aired. Reviews have varied from excellent to average. I would like to see for myself. scottman1932 Posted November 6, 2010 Share Posted November 6, 2010 I don't think that MASSACRE has run on TCM in at least 10 years. I remember first seeing it on TCM in 1996 or '97. I thought it might make an appearance this year when the Race in Hollywood film series subject was about Native Americans. MASSACRE is a remarkable film from that period, when the subject of Native American mistreatment was rarely looked at. RAMONA (1910), THE VANISHING AMERICAN (1925), REDSKIN (1929) and TREACHERY RIDES THE RANGE (1936), are the few from the early Hollywood period that come to mind that also deal with the same subject.
