King Vidor's Billy the Kid 1930

Howdy all,

I'm new to posting here and I'm new to hunting down rare older films.

Can anyone help point me in the direction of finding a copy of Vidor's Billy the Kid?

Are there DVD-R swapping communities that exist out there? Or are there any mail order companies specializing in hard-to-find out-of-print stuff?

Is my best bet just to be patient and hope that TCM airs it sometime before I die?

Welcome to the boards. I've seen the movie on TCM, so I would say they will probably air it again before you die.

Personally, I am still waiting for Billy the Kid vs Dracula.

Most every movie on Billy The Kid, to me, is a disappointment. I will take three versions of the Billy The Kid story, however, as the best of the bunch.

*1. Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid (Peckinpah)*

*2. The Left-Handed Gun (with Paul Newman)*

*3. One-Eyed Jacks (Brando and Karl Malden)*

Not sure why I don't care much for a bunch of the others. If someone out there can tell me why I should like them, I'm open for listening ... just not sure why the others do not appeal to me ...
