ClassicFilmMan
This is a long shot, but if anyone taped the introduction to the TCM Essentials introduction to "A Star Is Born," I would appreciate an answer to the following question... In the introduction, Alec Baldwin asked Robert Osborne if in the original 1937 version of the movie if Janet Gaynor also played a singer. To which Robert Osborne said "no, she just played a lovely girl (not sure if those are the exact words he used). Then, as a follow up, he said she also played something else -- which I couldn't quite make out. Having seen the original, I'm assuming he might have said something like she played a talented girl as well. If anyone taped it, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks in advance. HarryLong
Didn't catch the intro, but RO might have said she was an actress... (but not a singing one).
