Intro to the TCM Essentials for "A Star Is Born"

This is a long shot, but if anyone taped the introduction to the TCM Essentials introduction to "A Star Is Born," I would appreciate an answer to the following question...

In the introduction, Alec Baldwin asked Robert Osborne if in the original 1937 version of the movie if Janet Gaynor also played a singer. To which Robert Osborne said "no, she just played a lovely girl (not sure if those are the exact words he used). Then, as a follow up, he said she also played something else -- which I couldn't quite make out. Having seen the original, I'm assuming he might have said something like she played a talented girl as well.

If anyone taped it, I'd appreciate it if you could let me know.

Thanks in advance.
