balletstar86
I am now watching "Dracula" for the first time on TCM, and I am hysterical laughing that they would use the theme from Swan Lake, the most famous and revered ballet ever (in my dancer's opinion) as the opening credits. There's nothing wrong with that, but putting the two together makes me picture Bella in a white tutu and pointe shoes doing releve and grand jete's all over the dungeon, with his minions as back up dancers. path40a
Well, if you watched The Mummy, which followed Dracula last night, you'll notice it started off exactly the same way;- )
deeanddaisy666
Really, balletstar86? Whereas I, an avowed movie lover and one who had a crush on Bela Lugosi waaaay back when, cannot hear Swan Lake without thinking of 'Dracula' and Bela. kenwal34
The somber strains of Swan Lake is a perfect mood piece for Dracula.Note also that it was used for The Mummy .
