Mobster Movie Pack--ESCAPE BY NIGHT (1937)

Not terribly interested in the Mick films airing today unfortunately but have the day off so catching up on some of the DVD packs I've obtained recently. I thought I'd crack open one of the PD film packs I haven't yet, called "Mobster Movie Pack" from Platinum Disc Corp. Some gems on here, watched a WB film that must have fallen into PD, LADY GANGSTER, which is a remake, of sorts, of LADIES THEY TALK ABOUT, not anywhere close to on par with it, but a pretty decent B programmer from the 40's nevertheless.

 

Watched a few of the other flicks so far, most pretty cool, but definitely B programming at it's zenith! However, really dug this one, ESCAPE BY NIGHT from 1937 and Republic Pictures. Heartwarming gangster/crime story, and recommended if you get a chance to catch it!

 

BTW, this pack is available on Amazon for about 15 bucks, for 20 flicks that's not a bad deal! Quality is about what you'd expect for PD films, though generally most of them are pretty decent.
