msladysoul
I loved Anita Page the first time I saw her in "The Broadway Melody." She was simply beautiful and her acting matched her beauty. She was a fine actress. It seems she didn't let her beauty stop her from playing various roles. She could do drama, comedy, you name it. I really enjoy her. She's the last living of the early talkies. I hope Robert Osborne do a interview with her before its too late. She has a lot to say about herself and others. She still gives interviews so I hope TCM can get to her before its too late and hopefully she'll write a book. I have to say she's the only blonde who got "real" substantial roles and didn't have to always play the whores, tramps, and vamps. I loved her in War Nuses- her dramatic talents shines through beautifully, she's breath-taking in her breakdown scenes. In "Night Court" she's superb. How do you all feel about Anita Page? moviejoe79
We all love Anita Page, and have spoken of her many times on the boards. Unfortunately I've only been able to see her in "The Broadway Melody" and "Our Blushing Brides". I would love to see more of her films and would like to see TCM do some sort of tribute for her. Even if they can't get her to do an interview, it would be nice to see a night devoted to her and her films. How 'bout it TCM?
blonderbbt
Yes, yes, it would be wonderful to see a complete interview with Miss Page. Robert Osborne made reference to her as being "a pistol." Wouldn't it be terrific to see this beautiful, sharp 90+ year old lady tell her story? I'm all for it!
