garboloygrant
My Mother and I have been racking our brains for the title of this movie...It was made during WWII and I believed it starred Ginger Rogers. She opens her house for women whose husbands were off fighting in the war. There is this one lady who does all the cooking for them. The only thing my Mother and I can remember is that she always cooks stuffed cabbage. It's considered a tearjerker, so I'm hoping that TCM will show it one Tuesday this month. If anybody out there who knows what I'm talking about, please reply. I really do appreciate it!
bhryun
The film from 1943 is called Tender Comrade, about a young lady whose husband is in WWII and opens her home to women in the same situation. It is out of print on vhs. It was put out by RKO pictures, so TCM might own it.
classicsfan1119
TCM last aired Tender Comrade on Jan. 26, 2005, so look for it again in their monthly schedule link in months to come.
