nicoley13
Did they do a price adjustment? No.
EdgeCliffe
No. I think the list price should have come down since there are only 3 films instead of 4. Guess they chose not to do this.
TomJH
FYI on the Ladd set - I had preordered it and received the below email today. Greetings, Thank you for choosing the TCM Store. We just received notification that there was a production issue with the “Alan Ladd: The 1940s Collection DVD”. Unfortunately, there was one title removed, “And Now Tomorrow“, due to quality issues, however your order should still ship on or around December 1st. If you have any further questions or concerns, feel free to contact us. Sincerely, Barbara TCM Store Customer Service It's no longer listed in the description on the TCM Store site. I have to wonder about the condition of many of the Paramount prints available. As I stated earlier in this thread, the quality of the print of Lucky Jordan broadcast on TCM a few years ago was very mediocre, soft and rather washed out. Now there's enough of a quality issue with And Now Tomorrow that it's not even going to make it into the Ladd Collection, at all.

rayban
I recently bought a TCM DVD release via the WB Archives. It was "Captain Lightfoot" with Rock Hudson and Barbara Rush. It was directed by Douglas Sirk, who had a great appreciation of Rock Hudson. It was a very entertaining epic adventure. Hudson and Rush worked well together as a romantic pair., According to Sirk, most of the film was shot in a very fine drizzle, which a special lens was able to hide on the screen. Hudson was a natural as a romantic hero in this kind of historical adventure.
T-Newton
In regards to TCM DVDs, I have 22 of 'em. 21 of 'em are collections. So far I have: The Garbo Silents Collection (TCM Archives) Garbo (TCM Archives) Errol Flynn Adventures (TCM Spotlight) UPA: The Jolly Frolics Collection (TCM Vault) ...and a good chunk of the Greatest Classic Films sets. The ones I have include: Broadway Musicals Classic Moms Family Hammer Horror Holiday Lassie Marx Brothers Murder Mysteries Prohibition Era (Greatest Gangster Films) Romantic Dramas Sci-Fi Adventures Shakespeare War War Collection: Battlefield Asia WWII: Battlefield Europe Wartime Musicals Westerns Western Adventures Yeah, I love collecting these. The Shakespeare one, for some reason, happens to be a rarity. Why that is, I dunno.

The Shakespeare one, for some reason, happens to be a rarity. Why that is, I dunno. I have quite a few of the TCM releases too. I also own the Errol Flynn collection you mentioned. I also have the first two volumes of "Forbidden Hollywood." I also have the TCM Vault of William Powell & Myrna Loy as well as a Claudette Colbert set. With the 4-movie TCM Greatest Film collections, it's funny, I don't think I have any of the ones you mentioned, except for Wartime musicals and the Prohibition Gangster films. Most of the sets I have are the actor ones. With these 4-disc sets, I only buy them if I am interested in at least two of the films and I don't own a majority of the collection already. I love Errol Flynn & Lucille Ball, but I don't own their collections because I already have the films. I think I only ended up with a couple doubles when buying the TCM collections. I have 2 copies of "Swing Time." I also have 2 copies of "Baby Face."
