arkycatfish
Would love to see a couple of old Gary Cooper westerns. 1. Northwest Mounted Police 2. Dallas
wouldbestar
It's not really a Western but thank you, thank you, thank you, for putting Friendly Persuasion on at 8:00 PM rather than 2:00 AM. I am glued to my set loving every minute of this. And Band of Angels to follow. Quite a catch tonight.
MissGoddess
I agree, two wonderfully entertaining movies tonight. Band of Angels is a favorite of mine since childhood.
Terrence1
I also love "Band of Angels". Yvonne DeCarlo is so beautiful in this, and she really does a great acting job as well. Beautiful score by Max Steiner and very intriguing story. Terrence.
MissGoddess
Yvonne is stunning and she acts her heart out. Very passionate and spirited. I always feel the same horror when she learns what has happened to her home, her world and who she really is. Her father could have prepared her, but no, he insisted on blindly keeping her "sugar and spice".
movieman1957
"Dallas" is playing on Encore Westerns channel on April 21 (2:50pm ET) and 22 (1:00am ET.)
wouldbestar
It has its own thread on the Hot Topics forum. I did see it last night but my opinion of it has changed.
redriver
THE WESTERNER is good, if different. HIGH NOON is a great one. And my old friend THE PLAINSMAN. A critic said something like, Only DeMille could combine the stories of Lincoln, Custer and Wild Bill Hickock and make it work! It's a stylish adventure.
