Great Film.One of my Favorite Gary Cooper films.Problem is Warners wouldnt let the real ending be released.

1Ending one,Gary gets an atomic scientist away from the Axis and flies home.

2Ending two,The scientists dies and Cooper finds a picture of the Axis atomic plant.The plant is deserted and he walks out and sees advancing American troops and says,This is year one of the Atomic age.

Sadly,two was canned.I understand Dir Fritz Lang was not very happy.

Parts of the film dont make sense,Garys co star Lili Palmer says,The Allied troops are only a few weeks away.(What troops?)Doesnt make sense with the last reel cut.

Great fight scene Coop has with nazi agent,Marc Lawrence.(Im glad they didnt cut that)

I wonder if the last reel is locked away somewhere?It would be nice if they could find it and release it.
