TriciaNY
I admit it I am not old enough to remember the 60's, but I am sorry I wasted a couple of hours watching this film. Was it TCM worthy just due to it's star Peter Sellers? How did this one make the line up?
TriciaNY
Loved Grady Sutton though!
Swithin
I went to see it as a young teen, when it came out, because I was fascinated by the life and work of Alice B. Toklas and Gertude Stein. I was disappointed, it used Ms. Toklas's name merely in reference to her infamous brownie recipe. To get the taste of the film out of your mouth, read What Is Remembered by Alice B. Toklas; or The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas by Gertrude Stein. Toklas and Stein were two Twentieth-Century greats. I'm waiting for a film about their life. ValentineXavier
It's far from a great film, but I enjoy it. You probably had to live in the 60s, as I did, to be amused by the 'straight guy meets hippie chick and gets freaky' thing.
TriciaNY
I will check them out, thanks. Yes the story line concept, itself, was funny. And this happens every day to men. Some of my friends experienced just this type of thing. LOL
DownGoesFrazier
I was interested to hear Ben say that the real-life Sellers emulated his character around that time in undergoing kind of a hippie transformation. I did not know that.
Fedya
It could be worse: you could have wasted your Sunday morning on *Dondi* like I did.
TriciaNY
Glad I missed Dondi. I did hear that about Peter Sellers and I think his lifestyle attributed to his dying early.

I did not know that. Nor did I. Interesting.
