angma
It's "Goodbye, Mr. Chips", but not. Female university English teacher, I think. 1930s, maybe 40s. Clearly illustrates the passing of time/eras. She's awarded at the end surrounded by her old students. I've seen this film on TCM in the last few months. Could someone please supply me with the title? lzcutter
Sounds like *The Corn is Green* starring Bette Davis: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0037614/ or Katharine Hepburn (tv movie version): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079000/

danthemoviefan
Could it be Remember the Day with Claudette Colbert? I don't think TCM has shown the film, but it has turned up on Fox Movie Channel and possibly the Cinemax channels. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0034092/
