FredCDobbs
There aren't any modern actors who could do it. However, I would like to see a new version of Casablanca, with Denzel Washington as Rick and Halle Berry as Ilsa. Morocco is in Moorish North Africa, and there were quite a lot of Black Americans in France in the 1930s and early '40s, especially entertainers and people in night club acts, and some were entertainers in major North African cities. So a remake of Casablanca would work with Denzel and Halle. It should follow the original script as much as possible, except that the two leading characters are expatriates who are disillusioned with America for obvious reasons, but now they have to join forces to fight the Nazis. mcmas
Are you kidding? No one could do it justice. Hollywood has ruined enough classic films already.
