SEPTEMBER SCHEDULE IS UP!

Recommended Posts

Thank you for posting the first two days. It looks like Sept 1 is Burt Lancaster with some Merchant Ivory offerings in the evening.

Yes, that helps considerably, clore. We can copy and paste it into our own word documents and format it ourselves.

Thanks!

You're welcome.

Seems terrible for a bunch of you to be doing duplicate efforts. Maybe you can each take a different week of the schedule to edit and then each come back and repost that result.

I tried doing that with the June schedule a few months ago as it was too spread out and I was actually getting a bit dizzy from the chore. I did about ten days at a time but swore off ever doing it again.

Yes many thanks. And, I know what a pain it is (printing from the calendar,

rather than a printable format) to cut and paste and eliminate all of those extra line spaces and unwanted info. Takes the patience of a saint!

The first task was just separating the days, since it was all basically jumbled together. But at least it's all here...I will start reformatting the first week.

Here's the first week of September. I removed the descriptions of the films, because I figured people could look them up individually on the TCM database.

Let everybody know when you get the link for the next weeks of September.

I know it will be much appreciated by everybody . . .until TCM sabotages that

link for reasons known only to them!

Something isn't right. I can't seem to access the July, August and September schedules at all. I just keep getting the June schedule.

Now any attempt to use another month reverts to providing the July schedule. I suppose around here that passes for progress.

Very glad to see the upcoming Merchant/Ivory festival! Particularly pleased to see some of the early films I don't know on the schedule, and that Howard's End, Remains of the Day and Maurice are included.

I realize they can't show everything, but the omission of Slaves of New York means one of my few forays into locally-shot filmed extra work still won't be on TCM! Oh well, one of these days...

Since these films were approximately her 17th and 19h out of 29 total, it's incorrect to say these are "early roles", since they were among the last half of the movies she was in. This would be more accurate if it stated " . . . featuring early *starring* roles in DON'T BOTHER TO KNOCK and NIAGARA", since they were the first two that Fox chose to star her.

Wow. Finally.

Thanks for posting the above links again, PhygLeGuy. Up until a few days ago, such links - even if they directed toward later months - would only display the current month's schedule.

It's so nice to be able to see upcoming months "at-a-glance" once again.
