Swithin
WAG: *The Nanny* (Meaning Fran Drescher, "The Nanny," was a Queens girl, so my guess is the movie The Nanny with Bette Davis.)
Kid Dabb
>Swithin said: ..was a Queens girl, so my guess is the movie The Nanny.. Not The Nanny. Wrong type of Queen's. >Edythe said: Princess? or too obvious? Not Princess. Not too obvious, either. We are talking royalty, and not British. Swithin
Sorry chaps. Think what hemlock is besides a poison, then think of what it's an example of. I'm going for a one-word title.

Swithin
Sorry, Kid, no not Pulp anything. Hemlock is a genus of something which has certain attributes year-round, therefore it's called ____ (the name of the early British movie in question.) A more oblique clue would be that the very last sounds in the film The 39 Steps are from the movie in question. They begin as Mr. Memory is getting his secret off his chest, and end over the credits. Swithin
That's it, Emgee. The hemlock is an evergreen. The tree is not related to the poisonous plant, apart from a similarity in smell. At the end of The 39 Steps, when Mr. Memory begins his debriefing, the dancers in the background dance to "Tinkle Tinkle Tinkle," a song from Evergreen, which was made the previous year. Your thread!
