Jamie
Anyone notice/noticed that the DVD has the deleted/missing scenes containing Tammy BLanchard (young Judy G) and that the VHS doesn't? I found this out last night and was very saddened that my VHs doesn't have these scenes. Now I understand why I didn't get how Tammy B. can have 5 min. of screen time while Judy Davis had the rest of the time! Ha!
moviejoe79
Hi jposkitt - Regarding what you wrote in the Trivia thread - Please don't cry! I never saw the movie "Me and My Shadows" although I heard about it. Usually VHS tapes don't have deleted scenes and that type of stuff, we only see those features on DVD's which have more room for extras like that. So that's probably why the DVD has the deleted scenes and the VHS doesn't. And if you're a big Judy Garland fan, you should read the book "Judy" by Gerold Frank - it's an excellent account of her life. I bought it at a used bookstore, and when I started reading it I found it fascinating. He really has a lot of information about her life. I started to read Lorna Luft's book "Me and My Shadows" of which the movie is based on, but I stopped after the first chapter because I just didn't like it. I just don't like the way Lorna tells the story. She seems to be bragging yet wants you to feel sorry for her at the same time. That's just the impression I got from it. Jamie
::wiping my tears:: thanks for the reply. I read a book on Garland entitled Get Happy and I must say, there are a lot of things about her that I didn't know about! Thanks, again.
