Jamie
Have any of you TCM-ers seen A Place for Lovers, Hurry Sundown, The Happening, A Place for Lovers, First Deadly Sin? They all star Faye Dunaway and First Deadly Sin stars Frank Sinatra in his last film. If you have please let me know your thoughts. I suggested these movies in the Suggest a Movie box...here's hoping!

brackenhe
I've seen Hurry Sundown and The Happening. I do like Hurry Sundown a lot and The Happening is very camp. Probably a lot of people would say that Hurry Sundown is miscast but I thought it was a good story with a lot of good actors in it.
Jamie
Thanks for the reply; very much appreciated. I do want to see The Happening more than the others, only becuase of what I'd read in Faye's book.
leobertucelli
The Sinatra film was fine. I especially liked the touching ending when he reads from a book to his dying wife Dunaway. And the cast was good as well like Martin Gable who was also in 'Tony Rome'with Sinatra of course.

slappy3500
My thoughts on "The Happening"... The theme music was popular on radio for a while. The movie itself was silly and pretentious. Totally wasted Anthony Quinn. Also starred Michael Parks who was famous for about 15 minutes in the 60's for his tv show "Then Came Bronson." "The First Deadly Sin was a good film if a bit depressing.
