edgedrv
Warners has just announced for release on April 19 a box set of Errol Flynn films. The films included are CAPTAIN BLOOD, PRIVATE LIVES OF ELIZABETH AND ESSEX, THE SEA HAWK, DODGE CITY and THEY DIED WITH THEIR BOOTS ON. The set will also include an original documentary THE ADVENTURES OF ERROL FLYNN. Both Olivia de Havilland and Flynn ex-wife Patrice Wymore will participate in this new documentary. There will also be a lot of extras as in the other box sets for this studio. It looks like Warner Home Video is releasing a box set a month. For me, thisis a have must set along with the already announced classic musicals set coming in March. The box set will sell for $52.95. Warner continues to be the best studio for releasing classic films.
feaito
Wonderful news edg., Only I wished it would have included "The Adventures of Robin Hood" too.
edgedrv
feaito, they excluded ROBIH HOOD probably since it is available in another box set. Would like to see a box set of GARBO. I wonder if this is coming. I know the oldies sell much better in a box than as a single disc.

pgm80s
Feaito, Warner came out with a two disc special edition fof Robin Hood which has great extras. You can buy it alone or in a set that also includes 2 disc special editons of YAnkee Doodle Dandy, Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and a documentary "Here's looking at you Warner Bros'" which I have only seen in the set. I bought mine for about $68, I don't know if its cheaper anywhere else, I don't ever buy off the internet either. Pete
feaito
Thanks Pete..I think I'll buy it alone, 'cos I'm not interested in "Yankee Doodle Dandy", I saw it once, and that's ok...although I love James Cagney, but I prefer him in his 1930's films. As for "Treasure of the Sierra Madre", it is another great film.
pgm80s
If you like early Cagney I just bought the Gangsters Box set which includes "The Public Enemy" "The Roaring Twenties" and "White Heat" for $41 at Costco.
feaito
Thanks Pete I've been thinking of it for a while as I've been doing too about the set that includes "Out Of the Past" and "Detour"...but then, the "Classic Comedies" set came out with "Bringing Up Baby" et al, and I bought it on Pre-Order:). moviejoe79
Pete - thanks for the heads up on the Warners Gangster set at Costco. I had a feeling Costco would have it since they usually get all of the Warners releases, and at $41 it's a bargain! I have to get over there this week. They always have the lowest prices for DVD's, when they have them.
