This film was not shot consecutively. The star gained fifty pounds during pre-production to make him look like a pudgy, middle-aged man. After a majority of the film was shot, production was halted for a year so that he could lose the weight and grow his hair and beard. During the year-long hiatus, the director used the same film crew to make another film with Harrison Ford.

...a final conversation -- on the telephone...

"Hi. Len S_____."

"Dr. S______?"

"Listen. Could you come in to discuss these X-ray results?"...Hello?"

"Listen, could you come in to discuss these X-ray results? Remember the X-rays we took?"

"We can't discuss them on the phone?"

"I think we'd be more comfortable in person."

"Now. Now is good. I've cleared some time now."

This exchange ends a grim comedy in which this character has not received good news on any aspect of his life whatsoever. What seems to be following seems to be more of the same.

Up and down in about 15 hours. I wasn't attracted to this film by the Ad blurbs, but when it showed up on a Premium Channel and I saw it, I was rolling in the aisle. No uh, outsider could have gotten away with writing this, but it was a hoot and a half.

Correct, Sixes. The point was that the story was on the film strip, but not yet a commercial product.

The editing and the ad campaign, yet to come, was what made the film profitable. I waited for On Demand before I bothered to see this one.
