bhryun
Every week, I wait for 8am Saturday morning for the next Darkness After Dawn film noir. But today, it's not here - and, when I look ahead through the rest of February, that slot no longer appears to exist in the schedule. Please tell me what's going on. I love TCM. It's literally the only tv channel I watch. But man, oh man, I'm upset not have my Saturday morning noir. (p.s. - has "The Essentials" disappeared as well?) Thanks for any info you can offer. path40a
TCM's weekly showcases are suspended during their "31 Days of Oscar" celebration each year, which is what the channel is doing this month. However, after a quick look at March: http://turnerclassicmovies.com/Schedule/Print/0,,03-2005|0|,00.html It looks like "The Essentials" (Saturday 8PM, Sunday 6 PM), Syncopation Station (Musicals, Sunday 10 AM), Silent Sundays (12 AM), TCM Imports (Fridays at 2 AM), Darkness After Dawn (Noirs, Saturdays 8 AM), and Lone Star Cinema (Westerns, Saturdays at 10 AM) will return next month. movieslover1000
All the normal listing, Darkness after Dawn, Essentials, Silent Sunday and the rest are off for the 31 Days of Oscars in Feb. and first three days of March. Darness after Dawn will return on March 5th. The same thing will happen in August when TCM has their Summer Under the Stars.
leobertucelli
Well who can say, maybe this schedule will continue and one can see talkie flicks on Sunday evenings...
bhryun
Thank you all for your responses. I wish TCM had not changed the schedule on my favorite features - Darkness After Dawn, Silent Sundays, and The Essentials - but it's gratifying to be informed the change is temporary. Thanks for taking the time to respond and letting me know.
bhryun
As noted below, these questions are the annual "what happened to Silent Sundays, Syncopation Station, etc." that come around every Oscar month.
