RupertAlistair
I'm so glad TCM shows "Christmas in Connecticut" (1945) every year! It is part of my Holiday quiet pleasures.... http://classicmoviesdigest.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-in-connecticut-1945-christmas.html
rjsdvd
Absolutely! It's been part of my traditional Christmas Eve movie line-up, along with "A Christmas Carol" (the Alastair Sim version) and "The Holly and the Ivy" (also British) for years. I always thought that the country house in "Christmas In Connecticut" was the most idyllic Christmas setting ever!
SansFin
*Holiday Inn* (1942), *Christmas In Connecticut* (1945) and *The Bishop's Wife* (1947) are my ideal triple-header. They are all warm and friendly movies. I feel strongly her frustration when he kisses her and talks of plumbing!
