Carley
I'm looking for the title of a Black and White film that I watched on TCM about a year ago. I don't remember a ton about it, but there were some details that I do remember. Music was a big part of the movie, and it was a kind of depressing drama. The main character is a woman who I think is a singer, and she had dark hair. The woman is married (I think) but is unhappy. Her husband introduces her to a violinist who I think she had an affair with. Throughout the film, the woman falls into depression and becomes an alcoholic. At the end of the movie, she misses a concert that she is supposed to be performing in to go to a beach house that she owns. She ends up getting drunk, and I think she kills herself. I think this movie is named after a song, and I think the title may be french, but I'm not entirely sure. Please help if you can!
lavenderblue19
I think you may be looking for the 1947 film *Humoresque* starring John Garfield and Joan Crawford.
