sfpcc1
Soul Train founder Don Cornelius has died at age 75 of a self inflicted gunshot wound. He was actually in a couple of movies, (which makes this thread relevant, if not you can yell at me.) The first was 1980's Roadie, (a movie that I waited 29 years to see.) The second was 1989 Tapeheads, (with Anthony Edwards and John Cusak, I haven't seen it.) A comedian once said that once Soul Train came on you knew that the Saturday morning cartoons were over. EugeniaH
Ugh, that's terrible. Unfortunately, here is a new entry for the "Tragic Hollywood Stories" thread (since he was also in movies).
DownGoesFrazier
He might have had the world's deepest voice.
Arturo
*He might have had the world's deepest voice.* Silly me. As a kid, I thought he did "The So-ou-uu-ll Train" falsetto.
EugeniaH
Barry White had a deep voice. Was it much deeper than his?
Geralddddd
When Barry would appear on the show, you had to turn up the treble or you couldn't understand a word being said ! That show was an institution for such a long time. What a shame.
