Sepiatone
With Coleman, it might be easier, or at least more to the point to list which of his performances you DIDN'T like. Sepiatone

fredbaetz
Beside the ones mentioned, I pick: Silent Films: "Beau Geste" "The Winning of Barbara Worth" Sound : "Bulldog Drummond"- his first Academy Award nomination. "If I Were King"- Colman, Basil Rathbone and beautiful Frances Dee.. "Talk of the Town" - Cary Grant, Jean Arthur directed by George Stevens. ..It doesn't get any better "Champagne for Caesar" A funny Ronald with equally funny Vincent Price.. willbefree25
Of course being a classically trained actor, he was beyond reproach and his dulcet tones were a welcome sound to any ear. But aside from his 'faaaar better thing I do' line and movies of that type, I seem to remember a movie I caught with Ronald in his later years - a noir, perhaps? It was excellent, but darned if I can recall it. Like Robert Taylor in his noir, it was a joy to see him out of type, just 'acting'.
DownGoesFrazier
Robert Taylor appeared in several noir-type films--------JOHNNY EAGER, UNDERCURRENT, ROGUE COP, and PARTY GIRL
Calamity
I'm embarrassed by how few of Colman's films I've seen but have really enjoyed those that I have. Must make an effort to catch some of these other titles.
doctorxx
For Willbefree- the movie you saw was probably A Double Life ,one of Colmans final films I believe it was also Shelley Winters film debut.
DownGoesFrazier
A DOUBLE LIFE earned Colman the Best Actor Oscar, his only one.
