nickdimeo
This was a well produced documentary. I do have to take issue with his daughter being so very positive that Garfield was not in Footlight Parade. This rumor started years after his death and continues to be a mystery. It does make for interesting viewing, as we continue to wonder if Garfield is the guy in the scene.
shainablue1
I watched this documentary also and I caught the same thing about the daughter saying her father was not the man in the scene in Footlight Parade ( he must be an as yet unknown identical twin then ). I thought she was going to continue the sentence with " he was in such-and-such ( enter any town, country, etc...) at the time of the filming or something like that but no. Hmmm...he was a gorgious hunk with a unique look about him, no one ever came forward to claim it was them, or can place John Garfield elsewhere at the filming of the scene? Curious. Love the man though- enjoyed all the movies they played that day, and Four Daughters of course!!
