bhryun
Is that Greta Garbo's image gracing the top of the Young Film Composers Competition page? If so, from what movie is it taken? If not, who is it and what's the source? Thanks
shainablue1
Yes that is definetly Great Garbo and since it is on the Young Film Composers page is it probably from The Temptress (1926), since they scored that movie recently through that competition. coffeedan1927
No, it's not Garbo. Since this year's YFCC winner will be scoring SOULS FOR SALE, I'm pretty sure it's the leading lady of that film, Eleanor Boardman -- especially after viewing the clips on the YFCC page. shainablue1
Are you sure? Well, maybe now there is someone different, but whatever page I was looking at do to with the YFCC had Greta Garbo. I'll check it out again though, I might be looking at the wrong thing.

Sorry if I gave anyone a bum steer, I thought it was her. Notice The Temptress airong time next to it? Let me know if I got it wrong.
feaito
Yes, that's Garbo in "The Temptress", the film that was scored by the winner of last year's competition. For the current (2005)Young Film Composers' Competition, another actress is featured, from the cast of "Souls for Sale" (Goldwyn Studios-1923), the film that will be scored by the winner of the contest. Most probably it's Eleanor Boardman, as Dan stated, although when I looked at her the first time I thought she was a young Joan Crawford.
