A small island in the Pacific,1943.LT Kuroki(Tatsuya Mihashi)is in charge of a small Japanese company.They are stranded with no communication.Kuroki wants only one thing,to return to his family in Japan.

 

 

An American plane crash lands on the island.In charge is Captain Dennis Burke(Clint Walker)Also on the plane is a small company of Marines led by hard core LT Blaire(Tommy Sands)Burkes pal and alcholic doctor(Frank Sinatra)is along,too.Burke,Blaire,and the others soon find they are not alone on the island.their only communication with their base is a badly ruined radio which the men feel cannot be repaired.

 

 

LT Kuroki calls a truce with Captain Burke with the agreement if either side becomes part of the war fighting will continue.
