ERROL23 Posted August 1, 2012 Share Posted August 1, 2012 Chicago 1920s.Big Jim(Edward G Robinson)Chicagos crime czar is killed in a plot set up by his #2 man,Guy Gisbourne(Peter Falk) Sheriff Click(Robert Foulk)and deputy Potts(Victor Buono)Robbo(Frank Sinatra)a close friend of Big Jims swears revenge.The trouble is Robbo doesnt have much of a gang.Will(Sammy Davis JR)and four others(Hank Henry,Richard Bakalyah,Sonny King,and Al Silvani)Robbo meets Little John(Dean Martin)a well to do gambler and takes him on. Robbo meets Big Jims daughter,Marian(Barbra Rush)who wants her fathers death avenged and pays Robbo #50.000.Robbo refuses and sends the money to the local charity,The Blessed Shelter orphan home run by shifty Allen A Dale(Bing Crosby)Allen is also hired by Robbo. Soon,news gets out that Robbo had given $50.000 to charity and hes hailed as the local Robin Hood.Everyone goes to Robbos gambling casino.Meanwhile,Gisbourne is going broke at his casino and has a plan of getting rid of Robbo once and for all.
