JamesStewartFan95
The Music Man Ye gods! PS: It might be considered cheesy by modern audiences, but its good, colorfully wholesome cheese with a fantastic Robert Preston and Shirley Jones.
ElCid
Actually they're saving it for the SLUTS month which debuts in 2019. They will feature pre-codes along with selected popcorn porn along with a bit of snuff for comic relief. Always been amused that the "Pre-Code" movies are all rated G. Don't ever let ANYBODY tell you, and whether or not they profess some kind'a "modern sensibilities", that THE MUSIC MAN is "cheesy" and without afterward tellin' THEM that they're full of..well...you-know-what! And 'cause for two reasons here. One being that while it might be "quaint" and "old fashioned"(and which of course Meredith Wilson purposely wrote it as such, but with a knowing little glint in his eye while doing it) it is NEVER "cheesy"! And secondly, well because I REALLY like this musical which features some of the most memorable songs of any musical ever written. I guess what I'm kind'a sayin' here is that THE MUSIC MAN might not qualify as a "guilty pleasure" because, well because I've always assumed for a some movie TO "qualify" as a "guilty pleasure" for ANYONE, it must first be thought of in general as being "cheesy", and once again THE MUSIC MAN isn't "cheesy", And once, again ANYBODY who tells ya it IS, is full of that stuff I mentioned earlier! (...and so, STAND PROUD here sir or madam, as the case my be...this film is FIRST-RATE, start to finish!)

Gee, I don't know Dargs. If I liked watching 'The Music Man' I'd feel like a sissy. Being a sissy was definitely something to feel guilty about where I grew up. And so NOW yet ANOTHER little confession of yours around here which helps me better understand how you ended up being the way you are, ay dark ol' buddy?! Uh-huh, and so as a kid it seems back on those "mean streets of Toronto" you allowed "peer pressure" to control your likes and dislikes, did ya?! So, was it this SAME kind'a peer pressure in your youth that started you down the path of drinking and driving TOO??? (...yep, I THINK I'm startin' to see a pattern here, dude!!!) Well, TCM does show it almost every Fourth of July ya know, speedy. Yep, it's as "American as apple pie", as they say. (...saaaay, now that I THINK about it, perhaps dark here doesn't seem to like it 'cause he's CANADIAN...and if you've ever read any of his posts over in that "Off-Topic" forum, then MAYBE you know how he FEELS about us down here below the 49th Parallel...nope, maybe it has NOTHIN' to do with that whole "musicals=sissy" thing AT ALL?!!!) The kids out there raised by those with poor parental skills will USUALLY end up learning the wrong things "on the street" instead, ya know. (...can't believe you've never noticed this, dude) Everyone tends to learn from experience. You seem to prefer foregone conclusions about people (well, about me in any case) based on a nugget of information. But I'm probably wrong about that. Not enough experience of you to know anything for certain.

Dargo
I'm addled by alcohol. Well then, do me a favor here and don't get behind the wheel of a car, in that case. My fellow motorcyclists up there on those "mean streets of Toronto" will ESPECIALLY thank you for that, ya know. (...okay, and now back to "Guilty Pleasures"...the CINEMATIC kind!)
