bhryun
I've racked my brain & searched this forum, so I hope one of you remembers the answer. Recently, TCM aired a little piece about Elvis, I believe it's the same piece narrated by Kurt Russell; in it, there was a bit of trivia about Elvis' hat in Charro. Apparently, Elvis asked an actor if he could wear his hat the same -- who was that? I found it intersting at the time, and I'm trying to remember now because someone pointed out on another forum that John Cusack wears his hat the same way in The Jack Bull -- and he has the same stubble. How interesting that he was inspired by Elvis who was inspired by someone else -- I just wish I could remember who!
brackenhe
It was Kurt Russell's father, Bing Russell. I think he might have been an actor in cowboy movies.
bhryun
Thanks, that was fast! I must've missed the name altogether; no wonder I couldn't recall it. It's a complete surprise to me that he was speaking about his own father. I like TCM's little narratives and insights, but I really enjoyed that piece, I hope they show repeat it. Thanks again!
