RMeingast
Guess in relation to the making of "2010," aired on TCM on Saturday night, Arthur C. Clarke came up with his top science fiction films (from the book, "The Odyssey File: The Making of 2010"). I see the usual suspects listed there... Can't remember if I've seen "Things to Come" or not... *1. Metropolis (1927)* *2. Things to Come (1936)* *3. Frankenstein (1931)* *4. King Kong (original version) (1933)* *5. Forbidden Planet (1956)* *6. The Thing from Another World (original version) (1951)* *7. The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)* *8. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)* *9. Star Wars (1977)* *10. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1980)* *11. Alien (1979)* *12. Blade Runner (1982)*
hamradio
The one thing that blows my mind from "Things To Come" is the HD TV at the end of the movie. Looks like it can be floor or wall mounted. LOL, no cabinet, just a screen. My dear child, in the good ole days, they had analog TV and TCM. Sprocket_Man
And enlightened society -- TV with no commercials, if you don't count ads for the John Cabal cabal.
