I can only guess what this refers to... But in any case, and with all due respect to the late Kristel, maybe this thread belongs in an alternate universe where there`s an alternate message board for the alternate universe ``dark side`` of TCM called PCM - ``Porn Classic Movies.`` Be that as it may, obit here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-19990457
Hibi
I never saw any of the movies shown during the 70s porn era. Just how explicit were they? (Anyone want to admit going to them? ) I cant imagine they were hardcore like today's video arcades.......

SonOfUniversalHorror
The Emmanuelle movies were NOT porn...they were erotic dramas. The actual porn of the 70's was just as graphic as it is today..."hardcore", as the term goes. ...but not the Emmanuelle movies with Sylvia, etc.
joefilmone
The erotic adult films of the 70's tried to be more than just sex- at least they were better photographed and had some sort of story- in our current you tube age- it's just sex. Kristel did manage to have a career beyond adult films and she was beautiful sensuos woman.
SonOfUniversalHorror
She's very good in the tongue-in-cheek horror movie *Dracula's Widow* .

Another article from "The Telegraph" here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/film-news/9617148/Emmanuelle-actress-Sylvia-Kristel-dies-aged-60.html Interview done with her in 2007 here (by Mick Brown of "The Telegraph"): http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/starsandstories/9617574/Sylvia-Kristel-interview.html

(Anyone want to admit going to them? ) I cant imagine they were hardcore like today's video arcades....... What are you doing in here, Hibi!! Yes, just kidding... Suppose nobody should be judgmental... I was just poking fun (maybe not appropriate place here dealing with death of someone and so my apologies) at the "dark side" of Hollywood - the multi-billion dollar porn industry located not far from Hollywood in the San Fernando Valley that seems to mirror the traditional film industry. Even think a porn star is "crossing over" into a Hollywood mainstream film being released next year - "The Canyons": http://www.heavy.com/movies/2012/10/lindsay-lohans-new-indie-film-the-canyons-top-10-facts-you-need-to-know/ It's supposed to be a "thriller, neo-noir" (whatever that means): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Canyons_%28film%29 Porn star in film is named James Deen!! And no, not that James Dean... Are you a James Dean (or Deen) fan, Hibi??? P.S. I mentioned Marilyn Chambers starring in David Cronenberg's 1977 flick "Rabid": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabid in another thread...

No offence intended... Sometimes other users have people on "ignore" amd miss their posts entirely, or, if not, they don't bother reading posts by certain users anyway. I read your post and then just added the link in my post in case anybody didn't read your original post later... At least I didn't recopy the entire article and so entirely duplicate your post... Anyway, no offence intended... But I understand, sometimes I post stuff and the same information later gets posted by another user as if nobody has read my earlier post... But I could be on "ignore" or it was simply a mistake. It seems as if some users only look for posts by certain other users they like and respond to them, etc... I try not to be bothered about it when it happens to me... Again, my humble apologies... Edited by: RMeingast on Oct 18, 2012 6:33 PM
clore
TCM has aired THE FIFTH MUSKETEER in which Kristel was top-billed over the likes of Beau Bridges, Ursula Andress, Cornel Wilde and Olivia de Havilland.
