I also love to watch the movie award shows.I love to find out info about movie by: Surfing the net, listening, watching, & reading interviews, Reading books on the subject, Commentaries on DVD , Behind the scenes shows, Trailers, Biography shows, My friends & family,& also Reading interesting facts about the movie. In it, he recapitulated the frequently voiced remarks by some stars of not really being a film buff, but just liking to act in films. I've always found this fascinating, that some people who have nothing to do with films are the biggest buffs, and some who have a lot to do with films, have very little interest in them, outside of as a profession. I guess this goes back to the old saying "The shoemaker's children have no shoes" or something like that. But yes, I am a film buff, but frequently admit that my attraction may be a bit infantile and meaningless. Then I see an old Bogart film, and am a fan again.
