WHO???

Recommended Posts

Yes, that's the always cute and adorable Hope Emerson. She's best known for playing the matron in the women's prison movie "Caged" with Eleanor Parker. Now who is this young lady?

Yes, that's Cecilia Parker, who played Andy Hardy's big sister, Marian. She was always having trouble with her love life in those pictures. By the way, Twinkee, she was originally from Fort William, Ontario, in your neck of the woods. Now, who is this next guy? He played Abe Lincoln on more than one occasion, but in his best known role, he looked rather menacing.

Yes, that's old Ming. Now, here is a nice looking fellow who was a sometimes leading man. He starred in a movie on TCM within the past week. Later in his career he became a prolific character actor. Do you know him? He didn't always sport a mustache.

Right, he just played Perry Mason in a film that was shown last Saturday. Now, here's a character actor who played a lot of villains. Do you know him?

Is he related to Wallace Beery?

My first thought was Wallace but thought he just didn't look enough like him although similar.

Yes, Wallace and Noah were brothers. Of course, Noah was the father of Noah Beery Jr., whom everyone is familiar with. Now, here's another guy from a show biz family. Who is he?

That's right. The whole McHugh family was in show business at one time. Now, you've got to really know your stuff to name this handsome fellow. He played villains in many serials and "B" movies. Do you know his name?

Yes. it's Anne Gwynne, who was in "Ride'em Cowboy" with Bud and Lou. Now, here is one of her contemporaries, who was very typecast in exotic roles, one of which was in a Tarzan movie. Do you know her? She had a relatively short career.

Good job, lavender, you got another one. Do you suppose that Acquanetta had a hair spray named after her? No?

Now, here's a guy who appeared in lots of movies, many of them musicals. He was a singer with a distinctive voice. His best known role, however, is in a movie in which he is never seen, only heard. Do you know him?

Sluefoot, either I need better eyes or a bigger computer screen. The face of the dancer is so small in this picture that I can't make it out. Could you possibly provide us with a better picture, or a least a bigger one? Thanks.
