flashback42
I believe this film is Spanish. I believe made since 1995. Before the advent of DVDs; I rented it when VHS rental stores were all over the place. The theme is suicide for love. The heroine, at one point in the narrative, tells how her mother destroyed herself when her husband left. Then the heroine does the same thing at the end. Left by her lover, she cuts herself and slowly bleeds to death while sitting on a park bench. I've been under the impression that this was an Almodovar project, but a run-through of his titles and plots has not confirmed that. Does this seem familiar to anyone? joefilmone
It might be "Amantes" (Lovers) (1991) directed by Vicente Aranda with Victoria Abril and Jorge Sanz
flashback42
Thank you, you are correct. Victoria Abril was the other name that I thought went with this title, but I was wrong to scroll only Almodovor titles. I'm very grateful. Again, thanks.
