So I recently recorded Fritz Lang's "M" from 1931.

Moments ago I'm nearing the end of viewing it & BINGO! The recording ran out.

I have Direct TV, TCM indicated that M was in a slot of one hour forty-five minutes, my DVR indicated a recording of one hour forty-five minutes. It was an uninterrupted recording, (no rains storms interrupted the Direct TV signal), but my recording ran out as the defense was saying that the state had no right to kill a man, (the "trial" in the vacant distillery).

IMDB.com gives a run time of 117 minutes, a websight called http://bt.eutorrents.me, (which Iam not familiar with) gives a runtime of 151 minutes.

Did they kill him? Did a real trial take place? Was he convicted/executed?

I think my recording was intact, so did TCM blow it?

1. No, this never happened to me

2. The police arrive before the mob kills him. It ends without really knowing his sentence.

Excellent movie with a spectacular job done by Lorre, who I understand studied pshyciatry before becoming an actor.
