University of Westminster (Britain) researchers were commissioned by film rental company LoveFilm to do this study about people watching horror films and how the films do or do not effect viewers health.

Study discovered people burn calories, depending on horror film, the equivalent of up to a half an hour walk.

Love it! Interesting idea. But along with a thin body, you'd also have ulcers and gray hair. I'd prefer to get in shape the old-fashioned way. :) I can't watch horror movies much stronger or more realistic than classic Dracula or Godzilla... (though I'd make exceptions for some films, like *The Shining*).

I've seen all except for #5, 7, and 10.

And, yes, suppose if you barfed your dinner up while watching one of those flicks, that might count for something...

Basic idea 'tho is about increased heart-rate causing release of adrenaline that causes increased metabolic rate that burns calories...
