Need help identifying film

Recommended Posts

Hi All!

I saw a film on TCM several months ago and fell in love with it! I have little to go on, but this is what I remember:

I'm guessing it is from the 50's or 60's and it is about a movie star or famous woman (I think). I don't know any of the actors in the film. However, the thing I remember most is that every scene the main actress is in, her clothing and or/gowns seem to be brighter than the background and are the main focus of the scene. There is a scene of her walking downstairs in a sparkly green gown. I remember there to be a lot of costume changes. I think there was a scene where she was in a dressing room.

(Not Barefoot Contessa).

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Yes, it very well could be the Bacall movie. As the concept for the movie came from fashion designer Helen Rose, it could explain why the clothes were prominent in their display.

Haven't seen it in a long while, so I can't say for sure.
