firefly521
Looking for a movie I saw part of a few years ago on TCM, but never caught the name (I'm a firefighter, and had to leave on a run right before the end). The details might be slightly skewed in my head due to time, but I've tried searching for it elsewhere. It is in black and white, set during a war (I believe in France), and the main character is a soldier. He takes this beautiful woman (blonde I believe, I think eventually flees the country, and lives in a nice apartment) to a club, and on the way back they have this super romantic kiss on a bridge with the city lights in the background. Later on, there is a scene where the main character is out in the country and there's a fight (I think in/around a barn) with enemy soldiers. Any help would be greatly appreciated! vallo13
It sounds like 1931's "Waterloo Bridge" 1931 version: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0022550/ 1940 version:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033238/ The '31 version the lead is blond; Mae Clark and the 1940 version is with Vivien Leigh
