RMeingast
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has a gallery of photos called "Season's Greetings from the Stars" as part of its "Happy Holidays from Hollywood" exhibition... Slideshow of photos here: http://www.oscars.org/events-exhibitions/slideshows/features/holidays/hollywood.html More photos here at this site (I don't know if these were actually made as Xmas cards or where simply photos of actresses in Xmas scenes?): http://classichollywoodbeauties.blogspot.ca/2012/11/happy-holidays.html (This is different from Xmas or Chanukah cards with photos of celebrities printed on them that you can buy to send to people... I don't want those... I'm looking for stuff like the Janet Gaynor signed card from the site above, for example??) Who can post actual Xmas, Chanukah or whatever Season's Greetings cards from classic Hollywood stars?? This article, for example, from 1928, describes the Xmas cards sent by celebrities but doesn't provide examples of them: http://allanellenberger.com/celebrity-christmas-cards/ P.S. This thread is a bit different from Kid Dabb's as I'm not limiting it to Xmas cards. They can be Chanukah, Season's Greetings, whatever, but from classic Hollywood celebrities... Thanks, I like the ones with Alan Ladd, Louise Brooks, and the one with June Haver and Santa is nice too... Also some New Year's Eve themed photos too... The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences website says that the photos in its gallery are "special, rarely seen season's greetings from Hollywood's classic stars." Anyway, there are also stills from movies too (titled "Happy Holidays from Hollywood): http://www.oscars.org/events-exhibitions/features/holidays/index.html And I'm hoping message board users can find more of the "season's greetings from the classic stars" type of stuff...
