ElectricBarbarella
Just saw this film for the first time. Have to say I don't even remember having heard of it, which surprises me. Now I know what "Pre-Code" means...! A quite young looking (even though he was in his 30's) Gary Cooper. So charming and disarming. Fredric March, more playful than I ever saw him, and Miriam Hopkins, looking for all the world to be reading for the part of Constance Bennett's "evil" twin. Really enjoyed it, hope you all saw it. Hibi
Unfortunately, I was so sleepy Friday, I drifted off during parts of it. I did enjoy what I saw. Amazing what they could get away with pre-code. TCM doesnt show this very often. I just loved the whole night. Trouble in Paradise is my favorite Lubitsch
JamesJazGuitar
Design For Living was a unique film and very open sexually even for a pre-code. Funny and good film but I didn't like the part where she married Horton's character. It just wasn't in line with Hopkin's character.
