zombi6422
I am just curious about how many people here have red/blue 3d glasses? I am working on some pictures of classic films in 3d and wondering how many people will be able to view them?
wnyzman
I have 2 pair of those cardboard things. Need it for "Rollercoaster Thrills" in 3-D on VHS. Those were the first types I remember in the theaters but they then changed to those 'polarized" ones you had to return when leaving the theater. Still used today I believe for those IMAX 3-D films but those are really huge. Almost like clown glasses.
zombi6422
Ok. I have made 3d pictures of Meet Me In St Louis, Singin In the Rain, and American in paris and am looking for people who have the glasses to see them.
happyowl55
I have some of the red and blue 3-D glasses that I got with a Shrek movie I bought for my grandkids. They're really the pits. Couple of years ago we went to Disney World. I was really impressed with the 3-D effects they achieved. I wondered if the glasses had anything to do with that. Is it possible to get a pair of those glasses anywhere? (Anywhere short of stealing a pair from a theater)
zombi6422
Sure, you can get polarized glasses but they only work on polarized 3-D. Otherwise they will be useless to you.
zombi6422
Here are some shots I have made for anaglyph(red/blue glasses). happyowl55
Well, that makes sense.
zombi6422
The best format for home use is Field Sequential which is able to recreate 3d to probably about 85% of what you would expect to see at imax, disneyworld, or universal studios.
