Recommended Posts

Hi Gang,

I wanted to make a post for fans of silent great, HAROLD LLOYD and for people that live in the tri-state area, that begining on April 20, 2005 to May 17th 2005, in New York City's FILM FORUM will present a month long tribute to Harold Lloyd, courtsey of Sony Pictures and the Harold Lloyd Trust.

The festival will show all of Harold's features and with some of his two reelers mixed in.....Here's the direct web site.

Also included will be the silent 1929 verison of Lloyd's first all talking picture "WELCOME DANGER", unseen since 1929 for theaters that haven't been wired for sound yet.

And coming soon, Film Forum will be presenting a month long look at the Paramount features made before the infamous production code of 1934.The series is titled, "PARAMOUNT BEFORE THE CODE" which kicks off on June 24th, 2005 and runs to July 21st, 2005, that will include Paramount features and short subjects...Including the raunchy pre-code Fleischer cartoons.

Hope to see my fellow New Yorkers there!
