In his prime, no one exuded dangerous sexuality like James Mason - no one.  Egs., Lord Rohan, Lord Manderstoke, Captain Jerry Jackson, Nicholas Cunningham, Ivo Kern, etc.  A rogue's gallery of sexy men.

As for the ladies, Rita Hayworth

                           Jessica Lang

                           Louise Brooks

                           The One and Only Marlene

                           Hedy Lamarr

Oh, and Mr. Connery is just fine, too.

They don't make them like this anymore.  Sigh.

In no particular order:

Based on Wittiness, Intellect (of characters), and looks:

Myrna Loy (Thin Man series, et al.)

Ginger Rogers (practically any movie she was in)

Beatrice Lilli (Exit Smiling, et al.)

Barbra Streisand (The Way We Were, et al.)

Based on Kindness and Sweetness (of characters) and looks:

Audrey Hepburn (Roman Holiday, Sabrina, My Fair Lady, et al.)

Olivia de Havilland (GWTW, et al.)

Beatrice Lilli (Exit Smiling, et al.)

Grace Kelly (Rear Window, Dial M for Murder, The Country Girl, et al.)

Felicity Kendal (as Barbara Good)

Greer Garson (Mrs. Miniver, et al.)

Marpessa Dawn (Orfeu Negro, et al.)

Based on Toughness (of characters) and looks:

Barbara Stanwyck (Baby Face, Stella Dallas, Remember the Night, et al.)

Anjelica Huston (Lonesome Dove, et al.)

Based on Je Ne Sais Quoi and looks:

Gwyneth Paltrow (Sylvia, et al.)

Based on Looks Alone:

Julie Christie (Dr. Zhivago, Fahrenheit 451, et al.)

Harriet Andersson (in her Bergman days)

Annabella Sciorra (Cop Land, et al.)

Gong Li (practically any movie she’s been in)

Véra Clouzot (Les Diaboliques, Wages of Fear, et al.)

Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld days)

Anne Shirley (Laurel Dallas, et al.)

Louise Brooks (Lulu, et al.)

I’m not trying to make any kind of a veiled statement here, but I honestly don’t think of males in terms of “sexiness” or “handsomeness.” If I were to rank them at all, it would be in terms of respect for their character (or in terms of acting, the character of the characters they portray). That’s not to say that I don’t think of females in the same way; I do. But I also think of females in terms of sexiness, which is the question.
