path40a
It's in the library, and I know that I've been requesting it for almost 2 years now via "Suggest A Movie". Is there something wrong with the print? It's an Academy Award nominated Best Picture which features Victor McLaglen's Oscar winning Best Actor performance in which he beat the three actors from "Mutiny on the Bounty"; John Ford took home the Best Director gold, so did Max Steiner's Score and Dudley Nichols for his screenplay. I, for one, would really like to see this and am wondering why it's not shown as frequently as some other oft aired classics. Is it that terribly dated? lux0786
I've mentioned this on another thread recently, namely, whether or not TCM has the capability (and willingness) to determine the last time a particular movie has been shown as a guide for rescheduling. Presumably they do, in fact, it would seem a necessity. The Informer, for one, is too good to be neglected. There are probably others that have slipped through the cracks. slappy3500
I've wanted to see this film since I read Liam O'Flannrey's novel 30 years ago.
tink3557
I saw this film once and it is excellent! There are only two channels I would have watched it on - either AMC (before their format change) or TCM. AMC does show some classic films in the early morning hours - I watched the "Grapes of Wrath" on Sunday.
