Ray Harryhausen Critters...

Recommended Posts

I think the confusion arises because some articles compare "Journey..." (1959) to the Harryhausen's films beacause they all share a sense of wonder and adventure- actually I do wish Harryhausen would have created the dinosaur sequences it would have made a wonderful movie even better.

I wrote "Ray Harryhausen had nothing to do with JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH. Zero connection." Apparently feeling equal measures of insecurity and pig-headedness, Dpompper called it "snarky." It's nothing of the sort, merely unequivocal. He then dug in his heels and continued to promulgate the same misinformation that no one interested in the truth should stand for. All he had to do is look up Ray Harryhausen's filmography, a task that takes all of thirty seconds. Instead he retreated into "snarky." As such, I think he received an appropriate response.

Yeah, yeah, Sprocket ol' buddy, BUT seein' as how you're usually such a freakin' stickler for other peoples' spelling, grammar AND syntax, the LEAST you could've done was to give dpompper a little slack for how well she did in THOSE departments in her responses to you anyway, RIGHT???!!!

Don't know if it's available to buy in U.S. or Canada? You can do a Google search and find out...

Apparently, as of March 15, 2013, the DVD is not yet available in the U.S.:

The film had its European premiere last November 2012 and you can see photos, etc., at the Harryhausen website here:

The Sony Movie Channel has exclusive rights to air the documentary and has been airing it this month.

The next airing is this Wednesday, April 24, at 11:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. Pacific) on the Sony Movie Channel:

The Sony Movie Channel website also has some "interactive online experience" related to Harryhausen and his critters: http://www.sonymoviechannel.com/ray-harryhausen
