Whenever the camera moves quickly or one of the objects moves quickly in tonight's Le Grand Amour, the image gets sliced by dozens of horizontal lines. Is anyone else seeing this? It's terribly distracting.

No, it looks fine here. And, a good thing, too... I wouldn't want to be missing a moment of this!

I hope TCM will be able to run these Etaix films again.

I 'loved' this movie....ecspecially when he cut all their possessions in half..I thought it was hilarious!

Yes, this is great stuff! And that was a funny scene - even the dog got cut in half...well, almost!

Now it's not doing it anymore. Even in the intro to Le Grand Amour, there weren't any horizontal lines, just in that film. Can't explain it. Anyway, all's well again.

I agreee with other posters about Ètaix's films. They are enjoyable to watch, with some really funny moments. I have to say I still like Jacques Tati better. Maybe that's because I've been familiar with his work longer.
